Talking in the Schools
From the very outset of this project I have always beleived that a central part of my work was to bring back the memory of the Jewish Community to Vilkaviskis - and central to this is to make the younger generation aware of the Jewish History of their town.

With the help of Mr. Antanas Zlinskas I was able to do this - my thanks to him and to the Heads of the schools who kindly allowed
me to speak to their pupils.

My talk was based on a series of enlarged photographs showing Jewish life in Vilkaviskis - I had planned it for slightly smaller groups and I was a little taken back at first with the size of the audience. Antanas finished the presentation with the story of Dvora Olexnansky and he read her final letter from Vilkaviskis.
The following day Maria's class came to visit me whilst I was working in the cemtery
